Alexandra Johnston, M.S.Ed., NCC
Resident in Counseling (resident license pending board approval)
No one should ever feel alone when they are struggling with life’s challenges. My approach to counseling is to provide a respectful environment where your voice is heard and where we work as a team to address your concerns and overcome potential obstacles.
I received a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Old Dominion University. My background is in working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, binge-eating disorder, and emotional eating behaviors. In my therapeutic practice, I primarily utilize techniques from client-centered, cognitive-behavorial, and acceptance and commitment therapies.
